There's still a lot of feature work to be done on the black loop at Dorrance this year but we're running into seepage issues that need to be fixed to get the trail rideable first.
Work Scope:
Renting a tracked hauler/dumper for the weekend to stage a bunch of rock & gravel near these areas to save hauling materials in manually (a good workout but not fun). We're going to start by de-watering the seeps with French Drains and laying rock armor over top. There are nine of these areas so there will be plenty of work even for a big crew.
Work Area Map:
Meeting in the inner parking lot by the playground (directions here) at 9am. We'll have people running back and forth from the rock pile in the parking lot and the work area all day so if you show up late we will be easy to find.
Tools Needed: (a dozen club tools will be available)
- Wheelbarrows (3-4 in total would be good)
- Shovels
- Rogue Hoes
- Hand Tampers
Expect muddy conditions so bring your muck boots and clothes that don't mind getting dirty.
