Default A question for the trail stewards

It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend, any chance something will be open Saturday or Sunday?

Just going by past experiences I can't imagine Sunderbruch being ready to ride during this warmup.

Report from boots on the ground is: trails are super soft, no chance anytime soon.

Simply classic early spring stuff... we get the first warm up, the sun is shining, and we're all jones'n to get out on the trails. This is the time for us to come together with a unified voice by advocating and educating peeps on responsible trail usage.

Drew made up some super rad flyers for the kiosk; I'll be putting those in there this afternoon.

    +1000

Maximum trail damage if they (SBP at least) see tires right now, thus making our riding season shorter by not opening early as possible.

Please, for the love of all things holy, stay off the trails. Dogs too...as the trails are littered with deep, large dog tracks.

    Muchos gracias

Checked Illiniwek this afternoon and the trails are drying (yay!) but still too soft for tires or even foot traffic. Probably going to be a few weeks still until the moisture can work its way out of the thawing soil (given no rain). It does seem like trail drying is a few weeks ahead of schedule from past years. IFP trails have historically been ready to open in early April.

Stephens park is also very saturated. Any traffic in this condition does damage to trails. So please stay off the trails and urge others to obey open/ closed signs.
