It's that time of year again. The flora is growing and the trails are shrinking. We'll be out this week to reverse that process a little.

Wednesday @ 5:30
Meet us in the upper south lot (map here) and we'll begin the assault.

Thursday @ 5:30
Meet at the trailhead (across from the campground & IL-84) and we'll tackle the North Loop.

Tools
I'll have two club string trimmers, a beefy hand weed whip, and a few pruning saws and loppers available for use. Bring more string trimmers if you have them (we'll supply the gas).

It usually takes ~10 volunteer hours to go through all the trails with the trimmers alone so we could knock everything out in one day with five trimmers. Even faster with more!

If you are planning on running a trimmer, full body clothing coverage is recommended. Long sleeves, gloves, pants, a bandanna for the neck/face, and hat. Also, don't forget safety glasses and ear protection.

Post up if you plan on coming.
