Club TT: August 17 @ 6:00 - Illiniwek

We are having a club time trial at Illiniwek on August 17th starting at 6:00. It will be a short route on the south side of the park about two miles in length. Meet in the bottom lot. We will stage at the top and start with one minute intervals. The finish line will be at the bottom lot.

You must be a member in good standing to participate in this event because of our club insurance rules. If you need to re-up your membership or want to join you can do it online. http://www.qcforc.org/content.php?120-About-Us

Afterwards we will try to get a group ride in. Bring your lights in case the TT runs a little longer than expected.

Thanks for putting on the TT. I really enjoyed it. It was the first time I really pushed myself out there. The trails are fun, I like smiling and riding. I think they will help me to improve my skills on the downhill sections of trails.

Thanks for coming out everyone and big kudos to Anna and JB for helping with timing and starting.

The course was quite dusty and that proved to be an interesting challenge. Lots of riders rolled over the finish line covered in dirt.

The TT was so much fun. I want to make it clear, that my 20 minute time was on a race spec. road bike with aero bars. Boo Yahh!!

Out of breath and shaken to the bone, the sunset over the finish line was a glorious sight.
