I have a technical queston about saddles and I have often wondered about this. When riding my MTB should my balls be on the saddle, in front of it or hanging off to one side or the other?

Why try to fit in when you can stand out
Mine used to ride in front of me, then there was a shift and they snuck around behind my back. I must have gotten too fast because they are now no longer anywhere in sight!
I wanna ride!
I never had that problem...

Depends how big they are. I usually leave mine in the back of the van.
Maybe try leaving them in your wifes purse?
Believe in yourself? Well sure, of course. But be aware that "believing in myself" has been the root cause of most of my injuries.

"I feel sorry for people who don't do this." -Badfish41- after bombing the Hermosa's at Levis Trow.
Shouldn't this thread be titled "TESTICLE QUESTION?"
Blue ribbon goes to Becky for the most clever reply, witty woman.
Sass, you can keep denying it but some day you will have to come out of the closet:)
Vibrato I thought about putting them in my wifes purse but it would void the warranty and making my boys hang out with tampons....well it just wouldnt be right.
joedaddy I was leaning torwards that but it would have taken away the element of suprise.
Can always count on good advice from the FORC site.

There's an even better last phrase to my reply that I restrained from posting because it would have breached the PG-13 and sensibility rating. I opted for not subjecting the masses to my sarcasm and dry humor. I will leave it up to your imagination but knowing you knobbies, that could be even more dangerous!

I don't see that you ever really got an answer. This is a serious question that deserves a serious answer. If removal is a possibility, that is obviously your best bet. Otherwise, it really doesn't matter whether they are in front or to one side so long as they aren't between you and the saddle. You also don't want them bouncing on the saddle, so be sure to stand up while riding over rough terrain. Hope this helps.
I may have to grow old, but I'll never have to grow up.
Russhole Thanks for my first serious response. This is information I can work with. This summer I posted that I was having a problem with my eye protection fogging up and Sweets came to rescue with good advise. Ever since I started riding faster they dont fog up any more. This is all priceless information and is quickly making a better rider out of me. It would only be right that I buy all of you guys a beer some time.
Why try to fit in when you can stand out
When you get old enough, you just tuck them into a pocket or sling em over your shoulder under your jersey.
Some ride clipless pedals...but what if you could clip into your saddle?
Problem solved:
Just tuck the little rascals in there and your off.
There is no way I can post what went through my head when I saw that seat Steve, lets just say it can pretty lonely on the trail sometimes and when wiping it down...Are you getting visuals yet? I am still laughing over here...
Why try to fit in when you can stand out
ohh man, this is gettin good. good laugh guys. i can just picture a set o nuts clipped in right now...... (insert under seat shot)
the wheels on my bike go round and round......
You would never be able to stand up again, not to mention if you were to ever get bucked off your bike after hitting a nice bump; UNLESS...Just tuck the little rascals in there and your off.
If they ever get this long, you may be able to stand again.
Then again, that kind of clearance creates another problem...
Hanging too low under the saddle and getting caught in the tire:eek:
Ya didn't see me do it. Ya can't prove it!
and I quote Michelle Dumaresq... " I know a doctor who can take care of that for ya..."
ANYTHING can be fixed...how badly do you want it?
If you "clipped in", they would have to call it the XC seat - short for "Xcellent Castration".
