Yes it definitely is! Not only for comfort, but also for performance. I'm guessing Bexter was "whopping" you not only because of the adjustment, but because she's just that fast! And that new race machine of hers only makes her faster. Also, the massively high rolling resistance of a fat bike doesn't help either I'm sure.
