Default Matthiessen Mountain Madness - 17 Oct

The folks at Illinois Valley Cycling Association is hosting the 2010 Illinois MTB State XC Championship this Sunday at Matthiessen State Park. There will also be a DH race on Saturday 16 Oct. Check out their website here. We had a great time at their first race last fall, who's in for this year?

    Give a holla!

whos racing what clas? i am 95% in for the trip but non decided on what class to race. i am thinking that for the $25 it would be best to hit the sport group and get in a 15 mile ride and not worry so much about competing? if the right people are there to chase, it may make my decision a little different....

i want to be able to pre-register, so quick replies are appreciated.

I plan on doing the novice unless they cut out all the cool stuff then I'll step up to sport. I know that doesn't help you out at all.

AG, I looked at the map yesterday and you don't get to go down the big hill or around the water's edge if you do novice. Two laps for Novice, 3 for sport (which includes the additional section and hill). I am undecided on which race I plan to do. Haven't been pushing myself lately.

i am decided and am going to do the sport class. not going with the intent of actually being competetive, just for a challenge to finish on the lead lap and not in dead last. more for fun and to get out and explare more sweet singletrack...

I'll have Ella with me. Not sure how long I want to be out there. I think it will be a game time decision for me.
