We're off to a great start with over 230 Early Bird registrations!
We have tons of new additions to the event this year so be sure to keep an eye on the event website (www.browncountybreakdown.com) and the Brown County Mountain Biking Facebook page (www.facebook.com/browncountymountainbiking).
This year we are making the Breakdown as kid/family-friendly as possible. We've added a new Family Fun Ride on Sunday morning. The Family Fun Ride is a great way for families with kids or those who are not yet able to ride the Breakdown routes to join in a fun, casual ride and experience mountain biking on introductory level mountain bike trails. The ride begins at the Start/Finish location and will head directly to the introductory level Pine Loop Trail which is perfect for first time riders of all ages. Pine Loop can easily be ridden both directions and more adventurous riders can even continue on to the North Tower Connector Trail and North Tower Loop, both beginner level trails. There is no cost for the Family Fun Ride and it is open to anyone who would like to participate, however riders do not receive an event t-shirt or hog roast ticket. These additional items can be purchased on the event registration website.
For young riders who are ready to participate in longer distance routes, we've added a new Youth Participant Ticket for riders 15 and under who are participating in the 20, 40, 60, 75 or 100 mile routes. Cost is only $45 and includes camping, event t-shirt and hog roast.
Don't forget we are capping the event at 800 riders so be sure to get signed up in order to guarantee your spot in the 6th Annual Brown County Breakdown ~ HMBA Epic Mountain Bike Ride! Remember this isn't a race, just a great ride in the woods with a few hundred of your closest friends!
