Pretty sweet! A four inch travel 29er race bike is overkill for any xc race (of any length), but would make for an awesome trail bike with more of a race geometry.
I dunno about that... Road the hardtail at last night's Sugarbottom TT and was surprised at how bumpy it was. Sure would like some squish for a 18 mile race there...

Nah. Tubeless and lower psi. It's all a matter of preference in the end though. I still think Ray should own one of these for his riding style: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/....0/4027/36669/.
