Default Trail day Saturday 11/14/09 9:00am

We will be finishing the corner that Drew hurt his back on and starting the trial bed for the new north end up down trail. We will need a yard boss if possible, rakes and flat shovels.

    Don't forget WE NEED YOU!;)

    Thanks
    JB

Would I be worth a crap on my mtb in that race?

There's a mtn bike division, so you would be racing against people with a similar "handicap". FYI, a Craig finished a spot ahead of me on his mtn bike in the first race, and Kings a spot behind on his in the last race (and he was SingleSpeed!). Besides, nobody does worth a crap, we're all just suffering for 30 minutes en route to cracking a cold one!

Question 1: If we show up early, can we take a little spin on the trail, or is the trail not open yet?
Question 2: Does any one want to show up early and take a little spin (depending on the answer to the first question)?

its a little late probably by now, but forgetting that i had made plans for saturday earlier in the week, im not planning on making it to illiniwek for the trail day, unless time allows. ill call and see whats up if i get done early enough.

as for that, that means the trailboss i have will not make it either unless someone wants to get it from me early tomorrow. gotta be in davenport by 8:00.

call me if you wanna get it somehow, ill work with you all. meet somewhere halfway or something like that.....

The trails are currently rideable, but there are some areas where leaves are covering most of the trail surface. We haven't had a chance to rake the South loop and it will be hard to follow even if you have ridden it before. Most of the North loop has been raked. If you want to ride before we start, go for it. Some of the trails will be soft as they are only a few weeks old. Keep a lookout on NLE2 (see map) as there is one berm that is a work in progress which we plan on finishing during the trail day.

I have uploaded a map of the trail system for those who are unfamiliar with it. Illiniwek Trail Map

Unfortunately, I won't be able to join a morning ride to act a a guide.
