Best Trainer?

Looking forward to cross-country skiing this winter, if snow arrives.

Else, an indoor trainer for the old rigid frame bike would be nice.

Recommendations?

A couple years ago I bought Saris Hammer. It’s a direct drive. And it’s expensive. But to me, it’s paid for itself already. I don’t have to leave my house to train in the winter time. But the feel, variable wattage and blue tooth just feels awesome for indoors.
