At the January membership meeting we will be holding our annual board nominations. During this cycle all positions will be open except for Race director. There is to many things already in the works to open this position up. This will be open this fall. President, Vice President, Race Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations Manager, Insurance Manager, and Web Director positions are open for nominations.

- President - The President’s duties include organizing and setting the agenda for board and general membership meetings, promoting trails and other land use issues, trail maintenance, race promotion and other responsibilities determined by agreement with the other officers. 2 year.
- Treasurer - The Treasurer’s duties include bookkeeping, making payments and deposits, keeping an updated list of members, their addresses and email addresses and other responsibilities determined by agreement with the other officers. This position is retained for a 2 year period with elections being held on even years.
- Secretary - The Secretary’s duties include keeping minutes of the monthly meetings, and other responsibilities by agreement with the other officers. This position is retained for a 2 year period with elections being held on even years.
- Insurance Manager - Responsible for all aspects of club liability and insurance issues, and other responsibilities by agreement with the other officers.
- Public Relations Manager - Responsible for new member promotion, media contacts, press releases, and other responsibilities by agreement with the other officers.
- Web Director - Duties include website maintenance and design, and other responsibilities by agreement with the other officers.
- Vice President - The Vice President’s duties include membership issues, fundraising, and other responsibilities determined by agreement with the other officers. The Vice President will also support the duties of the president. This position is retained for a 2 year period with elections being held on odd years.
- Race Director - Responsible for race promotion, schedule, timing, general awards, and other responsibilities. The Race Director will work with the appropriate Trail Steward to set up the race course. The race purse will be determined by the Board of Directors and distributed by the Treasurer.
If you would like to be added to the ballot for any of these positions please let us know. Nominations will be taken until January 5th 2020 to give us time to create ballots before the election on January 6th 2020. If you serve in one of these positions know that you will have the support of past and current board members at your disposal if you have any questions. Please keep in mind this is a volunteer club. This isn’t a second job. Anyone who takes a position can always delegate some of their responsibilities to make it easier and take up less of there time.
