Default Scott County Park Trail Update

It is unlikely SCP will open anytime soon. Brad was out evaluating trail conditions after the last couple rain falls. As it stands now there are several places where water is still pooling on the trail surface. We have lost at least 7 bridges including the large bridge (commonly known as the turtle bridge). We have several trees down. The park people can not get there equipment out and mow the double track without getting stuck. We will work to try and get something open as soon as we can. Stay tuned for work days. We”ll need it.

    AG,

Any planned work dates? Let me know what we can do to help.

Weather is looking better this week. I am planning on camping at the park this weekend to work on getting the bridge out of the creek and start the process of rebuilding it. I'm going to get with the rest of the crew and figure out a day and time. Stay tuned.
