    Default ? On SCOCOPA

CAN I REMOVE A DAMN ROOT STICKING OUT?!?!?!? LOL

This makes 6th time, second otb of my fat butt cause of that damn thing. Took my son out twice so far 1st time we had to play hike a bike cause his knee was scrapped up bad, couldn't ride. Followed by trip to Walgreens for gauze. And today I had to play hike a bike cause my front tire burped as i was going over and co2s were empty.

Can't be the only one to knows of this thing, in the fast off camber weaves thru the trees a bit after pine loop coming towards end of north loop. Things about 6" tall sticks out in a trail annoyingly fair bit and got a huge knot on the incoming side. Been literal pain in my ass since I started riding lol.

Sorry my ion camera was off sadly at time of this incident, was thinking need to stop to turn it back on right as I hit the damn ROOT.

PS: Yes its ok to make jokes, I was only mad I had to walk back to car and camera was off when it happened. But got a nice welt with a spot copying my brake lever mount on my right knee.

Keep riding it and you'll get it eventually. Hell turn around and ride it a few times, thats how you get better.

Cutting it out isn't the right answer. I think i know the root you refer to and it has been exposed due to people riding too close to where it meets the dirt. That causes the tire to slide and kick out dirt. The right thing to do would be to cover it back up with fresh dirt.
I may have to grow old, but I'll never have to grow up.

Cutting it out is definitely not the answer. Covering it is. Bikes riding over it will eventually damage the root itself. Land potentially harm the tree, which is what we don't want to happen. Cutting it out will definitely do so.

Seems that root has taken a "special liking" to you.

Ok come spring I'm rebuilding dirt over it. Total damage from this, worst ever. Apparently Groot thought I needed an ass kicking.

Hike a bike due to tire burp.

Not sure how but rear wheel needed truing (have no idea why but was 2mm out in one spot)

Imprint of brake lever mount just above right knee and nice bruise

Grip imprint and huge bruise on left thigh, guessing welt area is from MILO lever.

Every control on my bars was outta wack.

And just general soreness from loosing a fight.

    GROOT KICKED MY ASS!!!

You do realize Root has never moved and is in the same place every time you ride out there. And yes it is probably the only Root out there.

Sounds like you need to start fat biking. Then that little root wont seam like such a mean obstetrical. Its nothing but roots, logs, branches, and rocks, oh and snow just to add to the fun. Makes summer riding much easier.

Speed, trying to forget about a fatty right now (issues with oldest son, nothing MAJOR, but lawyers aint cheap). And you can pry my 29er outta my cold dead fingers (after the Root kills me).

This is what my youngest thought about it as im laying on the couch friday evening. Trying to tell me something apparently.
