2014 FORC Side Thrill Ride
I wanted to remind everyone to get the FORC Side Thrill Ride on their calendars for July 13. Save a few bucks and make life easier on the FORC volunteer staff by pre-registering on USA Cycling. This event will be timed by the fine folks at PAMBA, so don’t forget your season number plate if you are registered for the Illinois Series!

This is going to be a great event on top notch trails that are fun and challenging for riders of ALL skill levels. You don’t want to miss out on your opportunity to rail the wood berms on Jubilee Trail in front the rowdy FORC’n faithful, or fly through the sweeping corners and fun drops on Kickapoo Down as you approach the finish line! We will have a handful of Kenda Tires along with SWAG from our awesome bike shops in the area to give away to racers. SWAG is given away at registration using the colored token lottery system (for different levels of prizes), so the earlier you arrive the better the selection will be!
Camping is not available at Sunderbruch park, but there are a few campgrounds in the area.
West Lake Park is the closest to SBP: http://www.scottcountyiowa.com/conse.../west_lake.php
Scott County Park is home to another FORC trail system: http://www.scottcountyiowa.com/conservation/scottco.php
Buffalo Shores is another option right along the Mississippi River: http://www.scottcountyiowa.com/conservation/bshores.php
Looking forward to seeing everyone there in a couple weeks!

2 HOUR DELAY "WATCH"...CHECK BACK THIS EVENING FOR CONFIRMATION.
We received some rain at the park last night/this morning, but are headed out to get set up and what not. Weather is clearing up as I type this, but please check the trail status on qcforc.org before heading out to pre-ride...the last thing we need is damage from riding soft trails the day before the race. According to my friend Terry Swails, there is supposed to be another system roll through tonight before making way for clear weather on Sunday...so, there is a good chance that we will delay the event 2 hours again. I will post up confirmation of this delay this evening once the weather picture clears up a bit more.
Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to seeing everyone Sunday!

Thinking dry thoughts! I'll be at SBP around 6 this morning to check trails. Looks like we got an additional 0.3" of rain overnight and that was all before midnight, so I'm feeling optimistic!

Sunderbruch race is ON. trails have a few greasy spots but will be good to go by race time.
