Default 2014 FORC HFDB TT #1 - Snowy Britches

    2014 FORC HFDB TT #1
(HFDB = Have Fun, Drink Beverages)
    (TT = Time Trial)

What: Time Trial, riders will take off in 30 second intervals for a timed lap on the trails. Fastest time wins!
    Where: Sunderbruch Park
    When: Sunday, January 26 @ 1pm(ish)
Cost: FREE to FORC members! You must be a FORC member to participate in the TT ($20 for the year). I will have membership forms with me so you can join at the event.
Rules: You must wear a helmet when riding.
Remember: This is a fun event, so no whining.

Fat bikes are obviously the preferred bike for this race. If you don't have a fat bike but you still want to race, come on out and give it a go on your "skinny" bike...the trails will be plenty packed after all of the fatties take off! If enough skinny bikes show up, we may split it up into two separate categories. If you have a fat bike but choose to race your skinny bike, you will be punished by multiple snowball throws to the face.

Parking will be along Telegraph road, but we will be gathering at the shelter. If the parking area out there fills up, park along the south side of the road and try to stay off the road as much as possible.

I will bring some firewood for the shelter and 30 or so beverages. If someone wants to bring a grill to cook some MEAT, that would be swell.

Post up if you are in!

Sounds like fun. I doubt the boy will want to hang out too long outside, but if I can arrange something I will be there.

    Thanks for arranging this, buddy!

I'll probably shoot for 11/11:30 so I have plenty of time to ride and get things set up before 1pm. Hopefully we have 3-4" of fresh snow on the ground Sunday morning and the trail will need some breaking in!

That looks an awful lot like Dirt, but clearly it is not, as he falls to the side instead of the endo.

Dirt pretty much has mastered the endo, that's for sure.

Anyone else with a fatty want to meet me out there at 11 to break trail? Looks like we are going to get a decent amount of snow Saturday night/Sunday morning.

This is the most optimistic model for the area...

rode the entire system last night

green trails have been groomed by snow shoe'rs making the trails amazing

blue trails were basically untouched except by critters...pretty good stuff although the off camber sections were a bit trick

black trails are hard, bumpy, and rough making them lots of fun.

Sunday is gonna be a great time!

I will take 1 minute off someone's time if they toptube surf the entire way down Kickapoo and out to the shelter at the end of their lap. Possibly even more time if they yardsale at the bottom.

    A. Westy that is NOT me in the vid. But perhaps I could reenact for QCEFBS.
    2. Vitt, I could probably top tube that bcith from the jump all the way down. Maybe...
    G. See you at 11 or so. Gonna get sup'd up, fo sho. Ya know, because I am a mentally weak human being. I can't stomp w/o PED's, I can't lay wood w/o MoJo, and I can't race w/o sups.
