Default 2nd annual Xgravelganza...anyone plan to ride it?

150 miles of gravel...Healthy Habits posted it will be on Aug 3rd...anyone planning to do it? I'm interested in doing it but wondering if FORC plans to put together a team per say to do it with a chase car.

This sounds amazing! I doubt I could pencil it into my schedule though.

Pretty much a cross bike or 29er. I could use my road bike, it'll fit 28c tires easily and was developed for cobblestones.

70 and 120 mile courses. Seriously considering this and then racing Matthiessen the next day. It will most likely be weather dependent and on my road bike.

My wife is coming up from Bama that weekend to drive my truck and "chase"....I'm not in this to win it (70miler), I'm in it to finish and raise money for a Fallen Soldier Scholarship fund, if your not hell bent on winning this and just wanna ride it with me then let me know, there is always room in my truck for a passanger to keep her company and support us with what ever me may need during the ride.

I was in Healthy Habits last week and they said they would be allowed considering they were not completly closing down the actual route.

Rode thw first 40miles today. BRUTAL....the first 10 miles give you a false sense of this ia gonna be cake.....and then you get woke up with some decent climbs. Once I hit the 18mile mark the rain and 20mph winds made it soooooo much fun....NOT!!!

I actually love riding in the rain. Too bad I won't be doing this, it sounds like fun.

Rode another 36 miles of this route last night. There are some serious climbs, it will be no picnic for sure. Also worth mentioning they have recently graded some of the roads so the gravel is looooooose in some areas. Anyone else doing it?

I have used everything. Strava is the best. It's the most accurate and uses the least battery power.

I've never used Strava, I've been using MapMyRide for about 6 months now and I think it's pretty good. I've had no issues using it battry wise for up to 6 hrs so far...as long as I don't constantly have the map up I think it would go easly 10 hours. (SamsungSIII)

I've only been able to use strava a couple times due to terrible battery life on the I phone 5. I've never tried map my ride
