A couple years ago I went up to Leadville for one of there winter mountain bike races (there's a whole series). After the race, I heard a guy talking about going to do this race. A bike camping point to point race seems daunting enough. Add in frigid temps on top of that... no thanks! I've done many 4-5 hour rides in the cold and I can hardly keep from freezing to death than.

Unfrickin' real.
That's averaging 5.2 miles per hour. Doesn't seem like much when you think of cycling, but add in 350 miles, snow, frigid cold weather, fat bike and being self sufficient throughout and it's purely an incredible human feat. Doubt he stopped for much time other than to relieve himself...if he even had to.
It's amazing what some humans are capable of.
"Start and end at a brewery, and a very cool snow and Ice urban/cross country, lake ride in between with flasks ful of Krakin... YAH MON!!!!" - Vibrato
"Every one of you should ride a bike and be yourself. I really and truly believe that bikes make the world better, and that anyone who spends some time getting used to life on the saddle will find that it makes their life and the world that their life is locked to, better; in almost every way." -Gern Blanston, Surly Bikes
that guy is other-worldly. my gawd.
if you have some time to kill, Mike Curiak's story is pretty incredible...Anchorage to Nome.
