Default Trail Day: Illiniwek - Sunday, 23 Oct. 2011 9:30 AM

The mole people will be at it again this Sunday. There is more dirt that needs to be moved with a little clearing/grubbing thrown in for variety. We are NOT working in the same area as last time. We will be on the north side of the park at the top of the bluff near the overlook (go up the RR tie stairway and we will be there). There are a few areas of poison ivy in the work area so take the necessary precautions if you plan on coming.

Meet in the lower parking lot a little before 9:30 and we will discuss the plan of attack.

    Essential Items to bring:
    Water
    Eye Protection
    Sturdy shoes
    Long sleeves and pants
    Gloves

    Tools to bring:
    Rouge Hoes
    Flat Shovels
    Loppers

I'm not planning on having a cookout after the work session this time. Doesn't look like the weather will be as nice.

However, I do plan on riding a lap or two afterwards.

Would someone be able to bring some of the tools from the Sunderbruch stash, the rouge hoes and flat shovels, if they come over Sunday? If not I need to come get them so we have enough to go around. I'm going to be in the neighborhood Saturday morning.

I can't edit the topic title, but the date should be the Oct. 23rd not the 22nd.

I'll toss the 4 hoes and the 2 shovels in the back of the truck tomorrow morning.

I'm off tomorrow and will be running around town.....if someone that's gonna be at the trail day can meet up, shoot me a PM.

Otherwise, I'll be at the dealership (Lindquist Ford in Bettendorf) until noon on Saturday and someone is more than welcome to meet me up there.

Why can't all the trails just go downhill?

Thank you everyone who showed up to work on Sunday! We ended up building 245 yards of new trail! Ill try to get some photos up within the next few days.

Michelle, I hope the poison ivy didn't get you too bad.

It's been about 48 hours and still no sign of poison ivy.....another 24 to 48 hours before I'm in the clear, though!
