Public Bicycle Friendly Communities Forum

When: Thursday, January 29th
Refreshments & Snacks 5:00 - 5:55
Forum: 6:00 - 8:15

A free public evening session on Bicycle Friendly Communities sponsored by QC-TAG , the QCBC , and Genesis Medical Center will be held at the Genesis Adler Education Center, located downstairs in the Heart Center, 1216 East Rusholme, Davenport, Iowa.

The evening will feature Ed Barsotti of the League of Illinois Bicyclists, Mark Wyatt of the Iowa Bicycle Coalition and Richard Bascomb, Senior Transportation Planner for Schaumburg, Illinois. Schaumburg has a BFC bronze designation and is only one of 96 cities in 32 states of the USA to have achieved BFC status.

Come and learn about strategies to help your city become a Bicycle Friendly Community. We hope to have citizens and public officials from all across the region and along the Mississippi! Bring your own support group to help guide your community to Bicycle Friendly Community Status. This is an opportune time for communities who have adopted their own "Complete Streets" language or Bi-State's Complete Streets Policy to share their accomplishments with the crowd.
