Mountain Biking rocks! In Nov. last year I got a new job sitting at a desk. I have always been a field electrician before this. I immediately started putting on weight. About the same time, my wife and I got new life insurance so I had to have all the checks done. Everything was high. So I did what Ray calls a "rut check" and decided to take up mountain biking. I've ridden about 300 miles of road and 150 on this year. I just had another check done today and everything is good. I was mostly surprised that my pulse is at 56 bpm. The average Joe is 60-100 and Athletes are about 40+. I haven't changed my eating much, so it has got to be the mtn bikin'. The cost of biking was starting to look like it could get a little pricy, fixing stuff all the time, but I thought ten years of biking still costs less than on ER visit for a heart attack. So, doctors' orders--BIKE MORE!!!
