    Default New chain

I put on a new chain last night (first time in my life) and it is a little tight where it was joined. I tried to push the pin back and forth, but it didn't loosen it up enough. I didn't want to stick a screw driver in there and do something stupid like I normally would. Do I need to mess with it, or will it loosen up?

Bend the chain back and forth across the links to free up the chain... kind of hard to explain... put your thumbs on each side of the new pin and flex the chain back and forth (like your trying to bend the chain in the opposite direction it's supposed to). That will free it up fo sho. You may find a picture or video online (think youtube) that can explain it better. It won't work worth a darn with a sticky link...
