2022 Illiniwek min'Duro - Saturday 10/8 - Discussion & Call for Volunteers

Testing out a new event format: Enduro at Illiniwek. Featuring the area's longest singletrack descents.

We'll need the following volunteers to make it happen. If you can help out let us know by posting below specifying an open position.

• Registration (1:30-2:00 pm) - Collect rider names & assign number plates: Open
  
  
• Timer - Manage the clock, signal to Starter when to release riders via radio.
  - Stage 1 & 3 (2:00-4:00 pm): Open
  - Stage 2 (2:00-3:30 pm): Open
  
  
• Recorder - Record rider's stage start and finish times and compute final stage time. Recorders will also compute overall times when done.
  - Stage 1 & 3 (2:00-4:00 pm): Open
  - Stage 2 (2:00-3:30 pm): Open
  
  
• Starter (2:00 - 4:00 pm) - Manage start of stages, enforce cutoff times, and relay rider info (bib number) to Timer via radio.
  - Stage 1 & 3 (2:00-4:00 pm): Open
  - Stage 2 (2:00-3:30 pm): Open
  
  
• Course Teardown (4:00 - 4:30pm) - Remove signs and course markings: Open

Cookout planned for after the event (5:00ish). Bring your own chairs, beverages, something to throw on the grill, and a side to share.

The Min’Duro is this Sat. at Illiniwek. Check in starts at 1:30 w/mass start at 2pm. Following the event is the trail side BBQ at the trailhead. FORC will have some meats grilling please bring a dish to share. Not riding? Come on out and watch!! Help FORC celebrate 10 years of trails at Illiniwek!! A few more volunteers are needed to help time. Camping is also open and available across at the campground across the road

Timing volunteers please be available around 1:35pm for a brief meeting on how we will be doing timing and allow time to get to your posts. Bringing a folding chair to sit in might also be a good idea.

Sun is shining and the leaves are changing!! Bring the family out to Illiniwek today for the Enduro. Don’t want to compete? That’s OK just come out and either watch, just ride or hike and help celebrate 10 years of trails!! We’ll be throwing some pork chops on the grill for a trail side BBQ after the Enduro. Bring your lawn chairs, dish to share and favorite beverage.
FYI- There will be short downhill trail closures during the event
