Default Illiniwek National Trails Day Event - Sat 6/1 @ 9am

Illiniwek is hosting a National Trails Day Event on June 1st and asked us to participate. We'll be doing a short trail work session (9 to 11ish am), have an info/recruitment table set up (11am to 2pm), and lead a few group rides (12 to 2pm).

Could use 1-2 people willing to take on the table and a few more to help lead group rides.

Trailwork wise, we'll be tackling a short reroute on the north climb and improving a few areas on the lower south climb and north descent as time allows. Tools needed will be rogue hoes, flat shovels, and wheelbarrows. We'll have club tools on hand to lend out.

Let me know if you can help.

Little change of plans, trail info booth will be running from 9am until 2pm. I can take the station after 12pm but will need one or two people before that. Let me know if you can sit at a table and talk about FORC & trails for a couple hours!

Forgot to mention, we are meeting at the trailhead parking lot (directly across IL-84 from the campground) at 9am for the trailwork session and will also have our booth in this location. Group rides on the trails are a no go. Still really wet out there, lots of seeps popping up in unexpected places, and unlikely to dry enough before Sat. If you still want to ride, bike path is always an option...
