    I have twenty cardboard fifty-gallon garbage cans with a box of liner bags. Ten have a garbage symbol and ten have a recycle symbol. If they are of value I will pass them along- all, some, now, later, etc.

    I'll be there for set-up and tear down on Sunday. I will also be there for garbage cleanup on Saturday with the family. I arranged through the Waste Commission of Scott County the bags, grabbers, and gloves for the Saturday cleanup. I'll bring them. I only reserved 20 gloves so if you have your own, bring them and the supplied ones can be for those that don't have any, and then if we have left-overs, I will return them. Bex, does the City of Moline know we're doing the garbage cleanup? Any way to arrange to have the City pick up the bags we fill so they're not there on race day?

    Default Updated SIS volunteer list as of 4/4/18

    Because the weather isn't looking great for Sunday (maybe rain/wintery mix later in day), the race committee has consolidated a couple categories to compress the day. The volunteer list below reflects that. Also, the City of Moline will be bringing out recycle bins for bottles, etc. Ryan Neipert is picking up trash bags and pickers for our clean-up day on Saturday and post-clean-up after the race. The City will have a small dumpster in place for us to discard the trash. Someone mentioned cardboard recycle boxes, etc. Yes, please bring them. Can't hurt and may help minimize littering. WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO GUIDE PEOPLE WHERE TO PARK. A little buzzkill... the City has reminded us that Sylvan Island is an alcohol-free location.
