2014 Palos Meltdown - July 20th

Don’t miss Illinois’s largest mountain bike event. With on-site camping, a midway with concessions and vendors, racing for all ages and abilities (including a Kid’s Race and a $1,500 Expert Purse), the Meltdown draws riders from all over the region. The race is held on the Palos Forest Preserve's extensive singletrack trail system just half an hour outside of Chicago. The trails are fun, fast and flowy, with plenty of hills and some multi-track thrown in to separate the pack. Camping is available Saturday night. Local riders will be leading groups to explore the singletrack late Saturday afternoon. The 2014 Palos Meltdown is a USAC and Illinois Homegrown Series Race.
