Default Hirsch Farm Enduro May 15 6:30pm

If anyone is interested let me know. I would love to put together a team or two and do this.

PHPT - Platteville Human Powered Trails Enduros are a great way to get some time on the bike in a less competitive format. Riders can push themselves to the extent that they wish individually as opposed to group rides where there's always the push "to keep up". Basically, we mark off a shortened lap (about 1-1.5 miles) on some of the flatter sections of the Farm and create relay teams of 4-5 people. Then we let the stopwatch run for 60-120 minutes and keep track of how many laps each team completes. Lap times typically vary from 6 minutes to 13 minutes. Afterwards and during the event there's socializing and a bonfire.

If you know anything about Enduroing you'll be there. I'm sure this is the true diffinition of "Enduro". I think.

Good point. We will be in the tri-state area. Lycra is possible.

I'm confused. "On the internet", or rather on youtube, an enduro race is bombing downhill. This seems like a crit relay. Description?

I think of enduro as a multi day stage race where you both have to ride up the mountain and then bomb back down. But where only your downhill time is recorded. It must also take place in a country outside of the United States, preferably Japan.

That would be a fun event to get drunk on the sidelines and heckle the pro racers, enduro style.
