    Default IFP Trailwork: Fri.4/4 @ 5:30pm & Sun.4/6 @ 9:00am

We will be kicking off the trailwork season this week at Illiniwek with two opportunities to get dirty.

    Friday 4/4
Meeting in the upper parking lot on the south loop by the salt dome at 5:30 pm.
Bring dirt working tools if you have them.
We will be constructing a berm and completing a reroute we didn't get finished last year before the ground froze.
If you show up late we will be near the log hut on the western side of the south loop.

    Sunday 4/6
Meeting in the trailhead parking lot off of IL-84 at 9:00 am.
Bring dirt working tools if you have them.
We will be repairing and improving a few corners and doing some general trail repair and maintenance to get them ready to open.

I'll have extra tools with me both days if you don't have your own.
Sturdy shoes, eye protection, and gloves recommended.

Post up if you are planning on coming. I will post delays/cancellations if the weather doesn't cooperate.

We should be good for Sunday. Friday will depend on how much rain we get tonight. I'll check conditions tomorrow mid-afternoon and post here if it is too muddy to be out.

Conditions are looking good and the wind is really helping dry things out. Not muddy but still a little tacky. Might want to bring an older pair of shoes just in case. See everyone at 5:30. I'm going to park at the far end of the gravel road towards the trail map sign.

Thanks for the help this week everyone. We'll probably be out next week as well so keep an eye for announcements if you are interested in helping and go ride in those new berms!
