Default QCBC Annual Dinner (with Christian and John VanDeVelde) - Saturday, November 2

Passing along from QCBC 'cause I'm also a roadie...

Great news! Our speakers this year are Christian and his father, John Vande Velde.

Christian is fresh from a successful 16 year professional bicycle racer career with US Postal, Team CSC and finally Team Garmin-Sharp. He has competed in 11 Tours de France while placing 4th in 2008.

After competing in the Mexico City and Munich Olympic games, winning three national titles John Vande Velde joined Shimano Pro Cycling Team; the first US pro cycling team. John is an inductee into the Bicycling Hall of Fame and was also one of the "bad guy Italians" in the award winning movie "Breaking Away".

Be sure to join us for this special father and son night!

In case you have interest but haven't signed up yet, bumping to the top of the list... We have FAR more road riders in our club than members will admit! Hee hee. Seems like we're not pigeon-holed mtn bikers but rather BIKERS. AWESOME! Anyway, for what it's worth...
