Default Sugarbottom, Saturday afternoon of Labor Day weekend (August 31)

We are saving vacation time for a trip later this Fall, so we aren't going to Copper this year over Labor Day weekend. However, we do plan to ride. Saturday, August 31st, will be Sugarbottom. A few friends are coming up from Peoria and we will be riding sometime after the Noon hour. Stay tuned for more details if you have interest in joining us...

    Default Sugarbottom, 10 AM Saturday

OK, looks like the Peoria folks are going to get on the road earlier on Saturday given the predicted heat. Game plan to is to meet at the Sugarbottom parking lot at 10 AM on Saturday. I have 2 more seats / bike tray left in my car if anyone wants to car pool. Will be leaving the QCA around 8:15.

make sure to bring plenty of water...

101 and 104x were really hot - lack of air flow through the groves - during the races Sunday.

have fun, the trails there are awesome!!

No kidding. And it was even hotter for your race than mine.

Sugarbottom is no joke, I've had my fill of it last week. Be ready to be rooted to death. Lots of roots and VERY little wind blows through the trail system.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Man, 10 years ago, Sugar was pristine but things change over time and with years of wheels pounding the trails. Really looking forward to riding there anyway. :-)
