Illiniwek: Trail Work Sunday 5/19 @ 8AM

We will be working at Illiniwek Sunday morning starting at 8:00AM. The plan is to rehab a few areas of old trail on the North Loop. The primary work area is near the large retaining wall/switchback corner we built last fall. If we finish there we will head to the other area on the map below.

I will be bringing some shovels, rogue hoes, and a wheelbarrow/buckets to haul dirt and materials. Bring your own tools if you have them, if you don't we should have enough to cover you.

Sturdy shoes/boots, gloves, pants & long sleeves, and eye protection are recommended. Bring BUG REPELLENT (the strong stuff) because the mosquito are thick right now.

No problem Russ. We are getting limited on free weekends so I had to pull the trigger.

If anyone has another wheelbarrow they can bring that would be gravy. We have quite a bit of dirt to move.

It looks like there are going to be some storms rolling through around 8-9 AM. I'm going to postpone the work day until 10:00 to let them pass and if we don't get too much rain we will continue as planned.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize it was going to storm until I saw dark clouds on the horizon about 5 minutes before I posted the delay.

Luckily it looks like we are going to dodge the worst of the rain.
