Default Trail Day May 11. @ Westbrook Park Dewitt, IA

This Saturday will be our first trail day at FORC's new venture with the City of Dewitt, Westbrook Park. This is a brand new system with all new trails. Come on out and see this new park and leaned a hand. Normal trail work tools will be needed, hoes, flat shovels, loopers, ext... I so recommend long pants and leather gloves.

    Time: 9:00am
Directions: 61 North to Highway 30 exit 311B. A the bottom of the ramp take a right. Drive to Westbrook Dr. It will be on your right. Drive all the way to the back and you will find us.

It is about 20 miles from my house.

Looking forward to getting this started! Hope to see a good turn out.
You'd understand if you know what I was talking about.

As in people, or the inanimate objects?

I knew I left myself open for that one, but I figured it would at least take 15 mins.

    I'll have 3-4 hoes and 4-5 shovels.

If you want Surge and Drew is cool with it, we can all three ride in my car.

Never posted here before, and I tried to post to the main thread but my post count was too low.

I am a local DeWitt Native who is new to the MTB scene (1-2 years). I am really excited about a trail system coming to DeWitt and am available to help if need be.

I was also wondering where the trail head is at. I went out there Sunday and wandered around a bit, but I didn't see where it could be.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do!

    Hi Joel.

There isn't really a trail head yet because there are no mtb specific trails, but I expect it will be located near the parking lot to the south of the ball diamonds when the time comes. Looking forward to seeing you out at some of the work days. We are hoping to get a good group of Dewitt and surrounding community locals together to help pull this off since it is a considerable drive for many of the QC locals.
