    KHS rep said today that they're working on a fat bike. Heard through the grapevine that Kona's working on one, too.

    Trek is also working on one
    Experiencing the world through second hand information isn’t enough. If we want authenticity we have to initiate it. We will never know our full potential unless we push ourselves to find it.

    No there not. Just talked to a guy at Trek about it and they have no plans for it. That said he isn't very deep into Trek and they may be keeping it a well guarded secret but I highly doubt that since they like to focus mostly on road bikes.

    Trek doesn't focus mostly on road bikes. They carry a lot of different styles of bikes. Their mountain and road ranges are pretty equal. With that said, I doubt Trek is making a fat bike because they don't have their hands in many niche markets.

    2014 Kona Wo. Aluminum frame with P2 fork capable of 4.8" tires, 4.0" tires spec'd, Deore R/D, SLX F/D, Alivio trigger shifters, 170mm rear end, Joytech hubs (?), Jetset rims (?), FSA double crank. $1699 with delivery to dealers in August.

    trek had the 6-9er right? wasnt that niche?
    they make 29er right or a gfisher 29er that was niche
    just wait youl be able to get a gaint brand fat bike by the end of next year!
    or was it a 9-6er?
