Default Bicycle Repair and Maintenance class

I thought some people might be interested in this class, I know I'm going to take it since there's a lot I don't know how to fix on my bikes. Scott Community College is offering a Bicycle Repair and Maintenance class. It will begin 2/6/13 and end on 2/20/13 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Wednesdays at the Bettendorf Community Center. The total cost is $19.00 per person, American, for the three weeks. There are only 8 spots left. Phill from Bike and Hike will be the instructor. You can register online at www.eicc.edu/ceregistration or call five six three, four four one, four one zero zero. If you have any questions or problems signing up, hit me up.

Nice! Phil is an awesome instructor! Hanging out at Bike and Hike while picking Phil's brain for help is were I learned. Great to see him do a formal class on it.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend Phil's classes, but you're welcome to come stompin' along the river with us!

I think this class is a great idea and would really like to take part to learn more about repairs/maintenance. I called Scott Community College this morning and was placed on the waiting list in case a spot opens up. It sounds like it's the first class being offered and if there is enough interest, they might offer another class down the road. So it would probably be a good thing to see that waiting list grow!

    Good idea
Experiencing the world through second hand information isn’t enough. If we want authenticity we have to initiate it. We will never know our full potential unless we push ourselves to find it.

Yeah, get on the waiting list for sure if you want in. They may open up two more spots and have a total of 12 people in this class. If 6 or more people are put on the waiting list, another day may be added to run during the same dates.

Anybody know if they are adding a couple more spots to the class? I checked today and I'm still the only one on the waiting list.

I talked to Phil last week and they had already added spots to the class. It was supposed to be 10 but now up to 12. They will likely be adding another class but not sure dates/times. He was blown away by the response he got to the class!
