    Default Just need some tips

I finally paid off my first higher end bike a 2012Trek Fuel EX7 and I would just like some input on maintenance and cleaning the upper tubes. I dont think i will have to worry about draining the oil or anything for a while. But just some tips on cleaning upper tubes if you have to use a certain weight of oil on it. I know how to adjust sag and what pressure i should be riding but. Any tips are very welcome.
    Thanks

Clean with mild soap and water after every ride, per Fox. There isn't much to it. http://www.ridefox.com/service.php?m...idebar#service

just make sure you treat those upper tubes - called "stanchions" - carefully and delicately, like a baby tiger.

you do not want any scratches, dings, dents, or any other harm done to them or it will compromise the performance of the fork.

Just mild dish soap. No special kind. Nothing with a gritty substance in it.

Guilty of not doing so myself... As much as I warn customers to do so themselves... Do as I say, not as I do.
