My plan as of last night was to ride Sylvan after work tonight... until we got rain early this morning. I'd be surprised if it's Ok to ride 10 hours later even if it reaches 80. I won't get off work til 4:30 or 5. Can you text me when you check out the trails and let me know if it's rideable (or post here) and I can meet you? I'd love to get some trail time in today. I may even bring my lights since it gets dark so early.
    I wanna ride!

I'll post an update for ya Bex. Regarding the trees down, there was that large one down by the log rides and a cluster down over by the east end of the docks last time I rode there.

I wouldn't be surprised if the island was OK to ride this afternoon.

Ground is drying fast today. I would bet the Island is in good shape by this afternoon.

Regarding the trees down, the big one looks like it could be used in some way if we wanted, as a trail feature somehow. It's a nice sized fresh tree that broke off about 10' off the ground. So Russ may want to go look at it before chainsawing it all up. May need the big saw.

As for riding, I'll be down by the river in the mud, sand, rocks and water getting dirty on the fattie. If you don't know about that, trust me, you're missing out big time.

    Enjoy the Island!

Oh yes I remember the first time I did that... "OMG this is so awesome! I'm gonna go ride over there now..."

Ended up getting stuck "over there", buried the derailler and cranks, and pulled the fatbike out with about 40lbs of mud on it. Car wash made mad money off me that day. Good times!

We have new rules about using chain saws and the like in the club. Please don't use them until you have been informed and have the proper gear.

Yes save the big tree. I'm planning on beginning sign post installation this weekend, I think. I'll try to take care of the trees then.
