Yes, only the Cat 3 (Novice) will do the shortened course. All other classes will ride the trails in solid red.

I realized I was junking up the topic, so I removed the image from my previous post. Sorry guys!

The map looks great. Had a blast last year, looking forward to the race again this year!

Actually, your image was a fairly accurate representation of what most people find on the island... No offense taken, whether meant or not.

    Default woooow.

Course looks crazy. Gonna be a whole lot of fun. Cant tell. Are the novices (that being me) riding up the big gravel wall on the south east corner?

No. Novice will take a right on the cinder path, instead of going up on the gravel wall/ridge.

what's crazy is the fact that we can look at that mess of a map (not the actual map, which was done very very well, but the trail system...you guys get the point....) and understand and visualize where we're at at any give point.

....or, does that make US crazy??

    Yep, its you ;)
Ive been to that island 3 times, and still cant make heads or tails of that place. All I know is you guys must use about 8 miles of tape to mark a 4 mile course!

Sweet map. Will there be a parade lap, or just go as is from the start line shown? Should be long enough for a clean start as is. That course is going to be a blast.

I think it'll be alright. That's a nice long wide stretch to start out with. Actually thought that was part of the genius of this course.

As long as the flights don't suddenly fill up, I'll be there to help setup! 16 seats as of 1:36PM MST 4/9... but never know until last second.

The map is posted here in this thread (the first post). Go to Page 1 of this thread, right click on the image and print.

They will be taping / marking the course on Saturday and once done, riders will be permitted to pre-ride the course.
    I wanna ride!
