    Default Sugar Scramble August 28

IMBCS #9 - Sugarbottom Scramble will be Sunday, August 28. Lap distance will be reduced from years past and lap count increased to allow for the addition of the Comp class. Gonna be a fast fun race.

I hope to make this race. So Sport will be one complete lap and then a 1/2 lap to the finish?

I haven't ridden Sugar in years and am contemplating the single speed race. Any thoughts or comments about riding single speed at Sugar would be much appreciated and could save me a lot of pain and suffering.
    Thanks,

This year's course is very single speed friendly, fast and flowy. Do it.

It's my birfday this week so I will be there for my own celebration. I just watched ILT's video of the new loop at Beverly. I gotta ride that while I'm there.

Since the weather is looking good Anna & I are thinking about doing a light camping trip in the area Saturday night. Take off around 2pm, set up camp. Likely visit Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery.

Would probably camp at south campground of Lake McBride no showers but flush and pit toilets $9 per night. It is about 4 miles from trail head.

I could be convinced to get a site at Sugar Bottom if others were going Walk In(not far) tent sites $12. Standard sites with electric $18.

I looked on online and things are getting booked so pre planning might be necessary. :(

Just purchased a campsite at Sugar Bottom. Tent Site 104. This is a lake site, should be a good sunset and not far from the showers. Even though a walk in site not far from the parking lot. Proabably go up after lunch, do the winery, and then an easy ride, followed by dinner, shower and a campfire.
Feel free to come by to camp or say Hi, I assume a second tent could be put up without the rangers asking questions.

Does anyone know if a photographer was at the scramble and is posting their images this year?
