Hi how you guys doing? Been a while since I lived down in corn country and flatland, but I'm glad to see that FORC has grown and is thriving!

Wanna give a shout out to my guys Frasier and Stephens; Dave it was great riding again with you, sorry none of the video from Levis-Trow turned out, we'll just have to do it again!

Also want to make to invitations to FORC guys, I'm thinking about putting together a Crested Butte/Durango Front Range ride maybe in spring or Fall next year. I have some ideas for trails and itinerary, but I'll keep everyone posted.

Secondly, I'd like to extend an invitation for a contingent of crew to come up to Milwaukee and do some rides in the Kettle Moraine. Its mostly ultra fast xc single track with minor technical climbs. Its mostly an aerobic workout, so bring your fastest hardtail. If the timing is right, we could also hit up Rays Indoor MTB park when it opens November 5 in Milwaukee! Pretty cool. Needless to say there is also a lot of non-riding activities to do in Brew City

Spring is a bad idea for the Front Range. March and April are the top two snowiest months. Summer or early Fall would be your best bet. I would really like to ride Crested Butte myself.

Actually, when I say spring, I'm usually thinking May-June, last couple times out to Moab, The first week in June worked really well, so probably around that time frame.

I had sent this out to a couple guys earlier this year, but was already too late to make big plans for most. Its just a thought, pretty ambitious I know, but I think that it'd be a lot of fun! let me know what you think!

Hey Pete! Gunch is right about the timing for Crested Butte. I think late June is still pushing it, though it depends on the year. I've been there a couple times, both in the first half of July, and once still had snow drifts in the high country. Worse, the snow melt keeps the trails muddy. I wouldn't plan on a Crested Butte visit until after July 4 just to be on the safe side. You can hit Durango earlier, and it's a lot of fun as well. And if you're going to do CB, then you also have to ride Monarch Crest. Shuttled, of course.

In the meantime, Kettle is always a blast, need to get back up there. And we'll certainly be up this winter once Ray's opens up. See you then!
