Chamois Time Race Series

The Women of Iowa City Cycling Club are proud to present the Chamois Time Race Series. Races will take place every third Wednesday of the month between May and September. We will have a nice variety of race formats to give both beginners and experienced racers a taste of everything. The first three races will be on the road, the fourth will be a mountain bike time trail, and the series finale will be a gravel race. All races will be open to everyone (men, women, juniors) and start at 6:30pm. Following are the race details:

Registration: Opens at 5:30 pm and closes 15 minutes prior to each race.

Entry fee for each race is $7 or $30 for the entire series. Those who are not annual USA Cycling Members will be required to purchase a $10 one-day license at each race. These will be available on site.

Categories: Racers will self-seed into one of the following 6 categories– Mens A, Mens B, Womens A, Womens B, Junior Boys, and Junior Girls.

Prizes will be in the form of trophies and merch donated by local businesses. There will be prizes for the top 3 of each category at every race, as well as overall series prizes for the top 3 riders of each category that have the highest points for the entire series. We will also have a few lottery type prizes so all racers will have a chance to win something, however you must be present at time of drawing to be eligible for the merchandise lottery.
Chamois Time Race #4: August 18th, 2010

Location: Sugar Bottom Mountain Bike Trail System, North Liberty, IA

Description: This will be a mountain bike time trial format with riders starting every 30 seconds, starting at 6:30pm. Race course will include blue and green trails on the south side.
