    Default Trifecta to Quadfecta ride

If the weather cooperates, I would like to organize an Aug. 7th and 8th Quadfecta trip to the Quad Cities :D
    http://lambaonline.com/forum/posting...24e1c3#preview

Sat. Aug. 7th (first installment of the Quadfecta = Unofecta?)
*Show up at Scott County Park @ 5pm to set up a tent.
*6:30pm head out for a lap around the awesome trails they have built there (can't wait to hit Area 51 again )

Sun. Aug 8th (Trifecta = 3 trail systems)
*cook an awesome breakfast for everyone! (eggs & ham, sausage links, pancakes)
*8:30-9 break camp and head to Illiniwek
    *9-9:30 Arrive at Illiniwek
    *11am leave Illiniwek
*11:30 arrive at Sylvan Island and ride
*1pm leave Sylvan and get some grub
*3pm arrive at Sunderbruch Park and ride
*5pm socialize in the parking lot
    * head home when it feels right

Note: these times are not written in stone and are at the mercy of the group's will.

I would like to get a head count of anyone interested.
    Show of hands; who's in?

    Best breakfast ever.

I'd be in for some ridin'...camping would be a game time decision, I think we all know how i feel about camping at SCP....

If my elbow keeps getting stronger every day like it has been for the last few weeks, I may be able to join in...

Saturday is out for me, but I'm game for Sunday! Sounds like a BLAST! It's on my calendar. Will meet you at Illiniwek and follow the plan from there. Mielke, it would be way awesome if you could ride by then!
    I wanna ride!

(note: this was more for the LAMBA crew, but just and FYI for here and some still applies)

For as many people that I have spoken w/ that have said they are interested; I don't see many replies on here about said interest.

Some say they may just show up for the ride at SCP Sat. evening but not camp, then meet us Sun. for the day of riding.

Some have said they may or may not be able to show up Sat. night but are in for Sun.

Others have said they're in for the whole plan.

AND there is one guy that says he would be interested if I re-work the plan all together. Well, I am not doing that, so, I still hope to see him.

As I said, the "times" may change, but the plan is the plan and I think unless Mother Nature interferes we will try and stick to the original plan.

Anyone else feel like posting their thoughts or intentions?

    Dear Mother Nature,
Please, oh please postpone any plans you have made to make it rain in the Quad Cities for the next 6 days! Ya see, I have plans to go down there Sat. and Sun. to ride some dirt trails and if they get wet I can't ride until they dry out. If you could help me w/ this, I would be very grateful

Would it mess up anybody's plans if I skip my volleyball tournament Sat. and plan the Trifecta to start Sat. morning instead of Sun. b/c of the high chance of rain Sun. and play Sun. by ear Please post your thoughts so I can coordinate this group trip/ride.

Last I heard, Sylvan may be unrideable do to what was left behind from some flooding. Is Sylvan rideable?
Will Sunderbruch by dry by Sat.?
    Will Scott be ok?
    How about Illiniwek?

    Thanx,
    CG

Russ and Drew have been busy at Sylvan, it should be good to go.
Sunderbruch - assuming no more rain, will be ok saturday
Scott - assuming no more rain, should be ok, up to Rangers
Illiniwek - assuming no more rain, should be ok

I'm helping at the Iowa State road race saturday so won't be able to make it. Cover for me - have a good ride!

Since my last post was at the end of the first page and I know how sometimes we skip to the last page b/c we think we read all of the first page; I am copy/pasting the question about changing plans here on the second page.

    Rage, thanx for the 411.

We need a little more time on Sylvan Island to get it completely ridable, there are still enough trees down blocking trails to make riding it annoying. If we could get another trail night in before Sat. and get around six people and three chainsaws to show up it could be done. It would also be nice to not have to rush to clean up the island before the Taming of the Slough.

Chance of Isolated Showers Sat. and Sun. but w/ more of a chance Sun. makes me change the plan to do most of the riding we can Sat. and whatever on Sun.
I am not going to compete in my volleyball tournament on Sat. which means instead of getting to the QC late afternoon, I will be there at 9 am Sat. to start riding
The new plan is to try and get the Trifecta in on Sat. and maybe even a Quadfecta!

Sat. Aug. 7th (first installment of the Trifecta/Quadfecta)
*9am Show up at Sunderbruch Park
    *11ish Arrive at Sylvan Island
*1ish Leave for Bent River Brewery for nourishment and refreshments
    *2:30ish Arrive at Illiniwek
*4:30ish Arrive at Scott County Park for a ride
*6ish relax w/ a cold one and cook some brats or whatever you bring on my grill
8ish setup camp if the weather looks good

Sun. Aug 8th (only plan is to have an awesome breakfast and coffee and ride whatever we feel like)
*Morning: cook an awesome breakfast for everyone! (eggs & ham, sausage links, pancakes)
*wheneverish: break camp and ride SCP again
*then, maybe Sunderbruch again before heading home
    * head home when it feels right

i am down for saturday riding but not sure how many parks i will make. the tranny went out on the new car this week and it will not be fixed yet, leaving me with a single car again. (this crap is getting old). i have to see what the wifes plans are for daytime activities to make sure i can use that single car for the day. she has to leave for work by 4:30 which means i have to be back home by then.

ill see what i can do, i need to ride as much as possible before the 22nd.

Hoping to get over there, having issues. (Issues? I gotta stop hanging around with krud. HA!)

Believe in yourself? Well sure, of course. But be aware that "believing in myself" has been the root cause of most of my injuries.

    Great day of riding!!!!
Plan for tomorrow is to make breakfast for anyone that wants it at 9am. I am an early riser, so I should have it on the table by that time. First come first serve! If you get here at 9:05 and it is gone, you are SOL.
Plan after that is to ride SCP, but I don't have a definite time.
After that, probably ride Sunderbruch at some point b4 heading home.
