You can take from iowa(74 to 80 to 280 and get off at Locust exit). (or take Locust across town and cross 280)from Il. 280 to Locust and turn West.
West of 280 at the first intersection, turn left. I think Ryan Ass. Is on the corner.
About a mile or so on the left you will see the first entrance to West Lake. It is before the lake and recycling station.
Take the first entrance and a few hundred feet in you will see a little parking lot on the right. That’s where I should be.
If it is chained closed, go to the big lot at the end of the road.

I plan on snow covered grass. You might have to cross the blacktop road a couple of times. Making my own trail around trying to avoid the areas that are still icy.
