Thanksgiving Day morning ride... 9 AM

Thought I would post now so those who are still in the planning stages of their Thanksgiving celebration can take this into consideration. I plan to ride on Thanksgiving morning, probably 9 AM, to start the day giving thanks to the many wonderful things in my life such as my blessed health, my family and my friends. Thinking Sylvan Island, 9 AM, weather permitting, but I'd be fine with other venues too (but couldn't ride as long as if I were at Sylvan). Keep the date in mind. I will have to leave the park by 10:15/10:30 for part II of a full day of fun and thanks... and no doubt over-eating. Bring it on!! Will post more as we get closer to T-day.

Also, plan to ride on Black Friday (weather permitting)... maybe at Farmdale with their Turkey Burn ride... maybe locally... one more thing for you to pencil in on your calendars.

What is the Turkey burn ride?

The fine folks at PAMBA host an annual group ride the day after Thanksgiving called the Turkey Burn. Not a race or anything, just a delightful social group ride to help burn off some of the extra calories consumed on Thanksgiving. Not sure what time yet or any of that yet. Ok, slight change in plans. I will have to leave Sylvan Island by no later than 9:25 AM to meet my holiday demands (no complaints, great line-up planned). So, going to move back the ride start time to 8:15... which MIGHT mean 8:30 for me. Of course, weather permitting.

I know! And, somewhat challenging because it's a tradition to go out the night before!! I'll be there, perhaps green, perhaps fatigued... but I WILL BE THERE! I am a FORCer!
