Default Headed to Wisconsin this weekend (Fri-Sat), I have room.

I doubt I'll get any takers but here goes.

This Friday (25th), I'm headed to Elroy Wis to ride the Elroy-Sparta Trail and LaCrosse River Trail. Both of these are "Rail-to-Trail" routes. It's about a 2.5 hour drive to Elroy.

I'll ride my 29r and pull a small trailer with gear. I plan to ride +/- 47 miles from elroy to West Salem and Tent camp Friday night at the Veterans Memorial Campground. I'll head back Sat to Elroy.

This route includes 3 tunnels, 1600,1600 and 3200 ft long. I plan to ride med pace and enjoy the surroundings. If your interested I have room for at least 2 more riders/bikes.

Little bit of a short notice for me to make this one. Love these kinds of trips, especially when the trails are closed!

    Sunday's forecast doesn't help either.

'Nother time fo sho. Still need to get my racks and bags setup for my ECR!

Amazing trip, trails were opened on Friday to include the tunnels.

That first 12-13 miles from Elroy to the first tunnel is no joke, 1-3% grade with trailer behind the fatbike was slow go. Spent the night Friday in Sparta and came back the next day. All the campgrounds along the trail should be open for business come mid-May. I wouldn't mind goingback out there, it's a very nice trail system.

That tunnel looks awesome! Guldy, his wife, and I did a quick little local overnighter at Illiniwek Friday night. It was a nice way to test a new bike + gear setup.

My previous setup (keep in mind I'm carrying everything for my wife and I, as well as some "refreshments"):

    Cool tunnels, great repurposing idea.

The ECR with those 29+ wheels sure has appeal, and great sunset pic there at IFP. Andddd . . .

Around the fire, uninvited, The Captain showed up - rather just one/fifth of him. Steve and I tangled with him, holding our own for awhile. The Capt then kicked our arse right before he disappeared.

This morning after pic portrays a little more of the trip:
