Deere matching donation

Hey all I'm joining FORC with my wife and since Deere will match my "donation" as I work for them. I want to pay for 2 years and Deere will match this with a 50$ min. So I'll pay 60 and Deere pays 60. Is this unethical? I also have approved volunteer time for Trail maintenance and building. Thanks Scott K

Membership fees are not usually considered donations by the IRS, which is probably the same criteria Deere's matching program follows. Best to ask someone at Deere if this situation would qualify first and if it does we can get you set up.
