This weeks Dorrance trailwork plan:

Wednesday 8/24 @ 5:30pm - Clearing & Digging Trail, Building Retaining Walls

Rogue hoes and flat shovels are needed. If you have an extra post hole digger and/or tamper we'll need a few more of those also. As always, I'll have extra shovels & hoes available.

We're meeting in the lower parking lot at the time listed above and working for a couple of hours. Get directions to the park here. See the map below for how to get to the work area if you can't make it that early.

The goal for the next couple of weeks is to build a long section of retaining wall to hold a trail located on a steep side slope. We'll need to haul in some larger logs from the parking lot, dig post holes, set posts to hold these logs, and then infill to build up the trail. We'll be clearing and benching a short section to gain access to this area first. Luckily it is very close to the parking lot so hauling in materials will be easier.
