Group Ride - Illiniwek - Tues. Aug 18 - 5:30

We'll have another group ride this week as described in the title. I'll be leading a ride for beginners and/or folks unfamiliar with the park. I would love to see some more new faces again, so come on out if you've been wanting to give it a try. As usual, there will probabiy be a medium and fast paced ride and some post-ride HFDB.

We will meet in the lower parking lot on the NW side of the trails. We'll try to spread the word to have everyone ride counter clockwise for this ride.

I just got word that, if we don't get much more rain, there is a good chance that Illiniwek trails will open in time for our group ride. It's looking pretty dark, however, so stay tuned for possible venue or date change. I'll make the call by 4:00 today.

Well...trails are open now, but there is a tornado watch and 100% rain by 6:00 and I think I hear thunder. I might try to swing by the park early and get in a lap because I am close by. If you need to do some travelling, however, you might waste a trip.

We just had a brief but intense shower here and it looks like more rain is about to start in a few minutes.
