January 2015 Membership Meeting

Tonight's membership meeting will once again be held at Bent River Brewery in Rock Island. Tonight is an important one since we'll be voting on 2015 Officers! Unfortunately thanks to being sick I won't be able to attend, but our VP (Eric Perry) will be running the meeting!

May or may not have access to the Lodge because of construction running behind.
Will know 2 weeks before event
AG is the lead if we have to move outside
Sign up to race ASAP, sign up if not racing it still a great donation to the club. When registering be sure to REMOVE the one day race license from you cart. USA Cycling will add it automatically but is NOT necessary.
Volunteers are needed for this event it should be a great time.

5. Living Lands & Waters -Adopt A Mile
The club has adopted about 2 miles of Mississippi River Bank. Much of it in the "stomping grounds"
There will be at least one official clean up per year. This should be a great public relations opportunity. TV and Print should love a couple dozen fat bikers picking up trash!

6. Winter Party
IT is back again! This is always great fun and allows the club to collect important dues from members. Once again it will be in the form a of Chili Cook-Off. Ryan Neipert is going to work with the city to book the same room as last year. Date we are shooting for is Feb 21st, second choice Feb 28th.

8) General Discussion
Excitement! One of our members brought up the idea of talking with the City of Moline about improving and building upon nature trails at Stephens Park to be authorized and suitable for Mountain Biking. We voted to have discussions with the city to see about the viability of this. With Sylvan being closed we thought this would be a good way to bring some trail back to Moline and to keep our relationship with the City going strong.

Next Meeting February 2nd at Bent River Rock Island.
