Talking Ellsworth Evolve Frame w/Extras (Pic Heavy)

    The time has come.

I'm moving on to a new project and need to make room in the garage (as well as the bank account). So, my beloved Ellsworth Evolve must go.

    At Fruita:

    At Copper Harbor:

    At Levis Trow:

I bought the frame as a complete bike in April 2009. I'm selling the frame, fork, front der, and headset together.

I'll save the sales pitch since I've ridden with most of you here. You've seen the bike. Nothing I say here will sway your opinion one way or the other.

If you're interested, I will consider selling the bike as a complete build. Scroll down for the full component list.

    At Moab:

FRAME / FORK / FRONT DER / HEADSET COMBO:

    Ellsworth Evolve 29er - MSRP $2395
*Full Suspension 100mm front & rear travel
*Fox Float R shock with custom Ellsworth ICT low compression tune
    *SRAM X9 9spd front derailleur
    *Size Large
    *Nebula Blue anodized finish.

The frame is in very good condition. A few scrapes in the anodized finish.
NO cable rub - I used some 3M adhesive protectors where the cables touched the frame.
    NO dents.
    NO cracks.
    NO creaking suspension pivots.

All pivot bolts have been torqued to spec.

    *Specs here

    *MTBR review
    *DirtRag review
    *Bike198 review

    Fox F29 100RLC 100mm travel - MSRP $895
*Rebound, lockout, and compression settings with full lockout
    *2009 model
    *9mm QR
    *1 1/8" straight steer tube cut to 7 3/4"

    *Specs here

Chris King 1 1/8" threadless headset, MSRP $139

    *Specs here

I'll also throw in the Thomson 27.2mm seatpost.

    All yours for $2250

...if you wanna talk about the complete bike, here's the list:

FRAME - Ellsworth Evolve, size Large
    FORK - Fox F29 RLC 100
SHOCK - Fox Float R w/custom Ellsworth compression tune
    HEADSET - Chris King
    FR DERAIL - SRAM X9
    RR DERAIL - SRAM X9
    SHIFTER F&R - SRAM X9
BRAKES - Avid Elixir CR 185 front & rear
CRANK - Race Face Deus XC 26/39 with Race Face Bash
    B/BRACKET - Chris King
BAR - Easton Monkeylite XC carbon
    GRIP - Ergon GS1-L
    STEM - Thomson Elite X4 100mm 10deg
    POST - Thomson 27.2mm
    SADDLE - SDG Bel Air
RIMS - Stans Flows 32 hole
    HUBS - Hope Pro II
    SPOKES - DT Swiss Comp
    SKEWERS - Hope
    CHAIN - SRAM PC 991
    CASSETTE - SRAM PG 990
TIRES - Maxxis Ardent 2.4 with EXO Compound, mounted tubeless with Stans
    CABLES - Shimano XTR

*fully built with Crank Brothers egg beater pedals, the bike comes in at 28.8 pounds. Some lighter tires and a few tweaks here and there and you can get this thing under 27 pounds easy.

*note on the wheelset - Built by Mike Curiak (Big Wheel Building) and setup with Stans yellow rim tape for ease of tubeless setup. I've had the wheels since spring of 2010 and have put them through the ringer - Moab, Fruita, Grand Junction, Landahl, Burp, Copper Harbor, Levis Trow, Blue Mound (multiple times) and they are as true as the day I got 'em. They're strong, lively, and built very, very well.

*I had the drivetrain setup for 2x9 and never found myself wishing for a smaller gear. If you're looking for the standard 3x9 setup I have a brand new triple ring set from Race Face for you.

*Entire rear brake system was replaced last August - lever, hose, and caliper - by Healthy Habits under warranty. Also have a set of brake pads and a 185mm Avid G2 rotor for you, both never used.

*Don't like carbon handlebars? I've got the original Truvativ aluminum bar if you'd like it.

*If you don't care for Ergon grips (they're not for everyone) I've got a set of OURY lockons with blue Ellsworth anodized collars. I love the OURY grips, never had a problem with them. I swapped the Ergons on to see if I'd like 'em or not. Your choice.

*Pedal choice is yours. I ride Crank Bros. egg beaters. I don't have 'em included in the build list, but I'll throw 'em in if you so desire.

This bike climbs the technical stuff very well. The rear end just glues to the ground.

Only reason I'm selling - I want something bigger.

I've got well over 5....well, save that for a private conversation, in case my wife is reading this.

Questions? Offers? PM me and we'll talk.

    You want the whole bike?

    It's yours for $3800

Oh my, what is it with these pictures...ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Over - Actor! Funny thing is these spots/scenery that you posed your bike in are exactly the same places and poses that Farmboy took of himself for his online dating profile. Problem is your Evolve has a better chance of landing a night out with a hottie that he does. Poor Farmboy...
