    2018 FORC Board Elections
    Nominations Are Now Open. Closes Jan. 4th.

    Want to give back to local mountain biking scene without getting all sweaty? Volunteer for a position on the FORC board! Help plan the future direction of the club, organize key events, and generally keep the wheels on the rails. It's probably more laid back than you think.

    Positions up for election are:

    • Secretary (2 yr. term)
    • Treasurer (2 yr. term)
    • Insurance Manager (1 yr. term)
    • Public Relations Manager (1 yr. term)
    • Web Director (1 yr. term)

    We're now taking nominations in this thread over on the forum. Nominations remain open until Jan. 4th and the election will be held at the January Membership Meeting on Mon. Jan. 8th. For more details about the positions, visit our bylaws page or feel free to reach out to any of the current board members with questions.

    Get ready for the 2018 Frozen Fat Fondo Fest!

    Get ready for the fourth iteration of the Frozen Fat Fondo!

    A fat biking challenge ride along the banks of the mighty Mississippi on Credit Island. Ride solo or as a 3-person relay team. See who can crank out the most laps in 3 hours around a challenge filled course. Stick around after the main event for a healthy dose of shenanigans!

    Online registration closes Thurs. Jan. 25th at 10:00 pm.

  • Sylvan Island Reopening Soon

    FORC volunteers got special access to cross the new bridge for a work day.

    It won't be long now!

    The new Sylvan Island bridge is in place and the island will be reopening soon! FORC is working hard to get the Sylvan trails brushed, cleared, and re-established for the reopening. As you can imagine, this is a huge undertaking which will require hundreds of hours of work. This is where we need your help! If you want to get involved, keep an eye on the Sylvan Island forum for trail work days.

    The next work day is scheduled for Friday Nov. 10th @ 9:00am. Read important details here.

  • Tugfest Steps Up and Donates $1000 for Dorrance Trails!

    Port Byron Tugfest

    Massive shout out and thank you to Port Byron Tug Fest for their donation of $1000 to help build trails at Dorrance Park! For the past six years Tug Fest has donated a portion of event proceeds to an organization that is positively impacting the local community. FORC is thrilled to be this year's choice and will put this donation to good use purchasing tools and construction materials to make multi-use trails at Dorrance Park a reality.
